James Madden, Senior Vice President has thirty years experience in vessel operations and management in executive positions. As Vice President, Operations with Farrell Lines, Incorporated he oversaw the commercial operations of the U.S. flag vessel fleet and greatly expanded Farrell’s participation in the carriage of U.S. Military and USAID cargoes. Subsequently, as Vice President for Business Development with P&O Nedlloyd he was responsible for the expansion of its U.S. flag fleet from four to eight ships including the reflagging to U.S. registry of two of P&O Nedlloyd’s foreigned flagged geared container ships.
James is a life long member of the National Defense Transportation Association.
Captain Thomas McCarthy, Camden Shipping Advisory Board member is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed master of ocean going vessels unlimited tonnage and has commanded numerous U.S. flagships in commercial service. Tom has over forty years of senior management experience with U.S. flag carriers with responsibility for the regulatory compliance, safe operation and maintenance of the ships deployed in Farrell Lines U.S. flag fleet. Tom is President Emeritus of the Maritime Association of the Port of NY/NJ and a member of the board of directors of the National Cargo Bureau.
